Plant Design Process Planning in 3D

Bentley’s solution for process planning is composed of several modules that complement each other to provide an environment of interactive tools and work according to the BIM methodology.

The solution is available in two modes: AutoCAD-based tools, such as AutoPLANT Modeler for a 3D design of piping and tools based on the Microstation platform such as OpenPlant Modeler for 3D piping design and OpenPlant PowerPID for the design of process schemes. Both environments are empowered with tools as Isometric Manager, which automatically produces model-based isometrics, Orthographics Manager, which allows the automatic production of layout and Support Engineering for designing supports (with a rich library of supports).

Tools for the calculation of upper or underground piping strength can also be integrated into this environment (with AutoPIPE advanced), with the ability to import the designed model created using AutoPLANT Modeler or OpenPlant Modeler for time and costs saving.
